· Initial Sample and Fitting
· Final Production Sample
· Size Set
Let’s describe all of these steps in greater details:
Initial Sampling and Fitting
After you complete your tech pack and garment patter, your manufacturer will provide you with an initial sample of the clothing item. This initial sample can be far from perfect.
After you get the initial sample and test it on yourself or on a fit model, you can ask the production company for revisions.
You might ask for a number of changes in the initial sample. T
Make sure you check each and every detail before the manufacturing company proceeds.
Production Sample
This is the final sample you receive before the clothing factory starts bulk production. This is the sample that contains all the details. This is exactly the piece that will be produced. If you have any concerns, make sure solve them before finalizing your production sample.
Size Set
After finalizing your sample, it is highly recommended that you duplicate it in all the sizes you intend to sell. This way you can ensure that your garment fits on a range of body types beyond your sample size.
